This
was taken a while back. We were out driving on a country road
in Ontario Canada when I suddenly saw this sign. Naturally I
got out to find out more about EVERTON. What a strange little
place. It only had a bunch of houses without any shops churches
or pubs. The only thing it had was a summer Scout Camp.
As a lifelong Blue who watched his first game in 1946 I suddenly
realized that I had discovered just what we needed. Space beyond
belief, miles away from the red shite and the chance a whole
host of new naive fans who don’t even know who we are. Plus
nobody could complain about losing our identity. We will actually
be right in Everton. There will also be parking for one hundred
and fifty thousand cars. There is plenty of room for Tescos
or anyone else who cares. There will be no local opposition
from the four people who live there, although there could be
problems from a new group “Keep Everton In Our Country” or from
“Keep Everton Out of Our Country”...this last group are a bunch
of ice hockey playing REDS. Even at my age I can take care of
them by myself. I also have two big sons John “Everton” and
Andrew “Goodison” as well as my daughter Gladys. I personally
am not the Billionaire we are looking for, but I have fully
paid for my igloo and I own two polar bears and a moose. We
do need to move from Goodison and this is by far the best opportunity
I have seen. I was wondering if other readers or fans have heard
of any similar opportunities to help advance our great club.
We
need to do something as the financial fiascos of the present
may result in a premier league consisting of Chelsea and Manchester
City. Actually it may be a good idea as they would have to play
each other forty times. None of the players would be English
and fans would only be allowed in if they spoke four languages,
two of which must be Russian or Arabic, and neither of the other
two could be English. Perhaps Welsh could be allowed to account
for travelling fans from Flint or Prestatyn. Players would have
to be able to roll from one end of the field to the other before
the game started. In fact rolling would be strongly encouraged
as by then points would be given as in real “Diving”. I do realize
that it would be difficult to schedule for those 89 teams in
the “Other “ division. Oh I didn’t include Liverpool as they
had already moved to the Spanish league where they felt more
at home.
Always
Blue. John Boon.
