Off To Hell

As reported yesterday, Lucas Neill has done one to Galatasaray, and the Blues have received the princely sum of £1m for a player who they signed for sod all back in September, and has played twelve times for the Royal Blues.

Moyesy seen it as good business for a player who by his own admittance was looking to play for anyone in World Cup year. This could now open the door for the Blues to make an offer to long time target Phillipe Senderos of The Arse.

Lucas says: "I absolutely loved it. From the moment I got there. The club have been so welcoming to me. Especially the guys in the changing room, they've been amazing. I'll hopefully have the chance to thank each and every one of them, and I wish them the very best for the season. There's no ill feeling whatsoever.

Lucas Signs In

Things something move slowly at Everton, but yesterday things moved at a break neck speed. As we woke up yesterday morning the rumour mill was a buzz with the potential of Australian defender Lucas Neill signing up. By half time last night the ex West Ham player was on the pitch showing off his new shirt to the watching crowd. Lucas has been brought in on a twelve month deal to replace our unlucky Captain Phil Neville, and he will pair up with his buddy and International team mate Tiny. Welcome to paradise Lucas.

Lucas says: "Tim didn't need to convince me to come here. The record in the last few years at Everton speaks for itself and David Moyes is a manager I respect highly so it ticks all the boxes. Of course there'a an appeal with Timmy here, he's one of my best friends and probably my best friend in football so to be in the same team as him again is great.

We started out our careers together at Millwall and who knows we may end our careers together at Everton." (18/09/09)
