John Terry wished he would have gone, as according to some reports today, King Louis turned down a deadline day offer to join Arse at The Arse. King Louis was offered a better deal by Blue Bill and Moyesy and decided to stay at Everton, much to our joy and John Terry's disappointment. Get in there. COYB FTRS (13/02/10) Since his two goals against Chelski this week, King Louis has been taking the plaudits in his stride. Blues Captain Phil Neville never had any doubt that Louis had star quality, and even his team mates have christened him King Louis. Phil says: "Louis is our top goal scorer and if you ask any centre back in English football they will tell you they don't want to play against Louis Saha. His nickname around the place is King! King Louis! And you don't get a nickname like that by being an average footballer. He is a special footballer with a special talent and he has been outstanding since he came to Everton. People go on about his injury record but he has played nearly every game this season." (12/02/10) Everton's leading scorer scored his 100th goal in English football when he opened the scoring for Everton against Chelsea with a great header, but then had a penalty saved just before half time. But Louie went on to blast a second in the second half to make it 15 in all games for the King. (10/02/10) Some media outlets are reporting today that King Louis has ended all the uncertainty surrounding his contract at the Blues by signing a two year extension. King Louis contract was up this Summer and he could have walked on a free, but it now seems that the striker wants to be part of the future at Goodison. In his two seasons at Goodison the front man has scored nineteen goals for the Blues. Long may King Louis reign !! (05/02/10) King Louis is really excited about the rest of the season. Not just about the way we played against City, but coupled with Joey and Yak coming back from the African thingy and also the sight of some of our injured stars on the training ground such as Mikky and Jags. It is looking good and maybe Europe is a possiblity Louis says:I think it was the best we have played this season. Not only going forward but also at the back. We were playing against a team who have scored a lot of goals, but we defended really well and to keep a clean sheet was a real bonus. “I really believe in this team. We have players to come back from injury and from the African Cup of Nations. When we have everyone fit and available we will be up there. “It was tough when we had so many injuries but now confidence is high. We have playing coming back and others will be back soon so it’s a real boost for us. “Is Europe realistic? We just have to keep going. We have a big month coming up. Let’s see how that goes and after that we will decide what’s realistic.” “We’ve been playing really well for a few weeks now but we haven’t been getting the results we deserved. To consistently play that well throughout the match was brilliant. You have to get the balance right. Our fitness levels were really important against City. We have quality players who can keep the ball and by working so hard we dominated the midfield area. “We have players like Pienaar who can do the tricks and give good passes and Phil Neville who can recover the ball for us. That’s very important and we did that really well. (19/01/10) Everton are keen to tie Louie down with a contact after the 31 year old scored 11 times this season. But under the Bosman ruling Louie can speak to other clubs next month. Moyesy says: “He’s been complaining about a calf strain and not feeling 100 per cent. We’ve brought him in and out. It was the same earlier in the season, I can think of Fulham in particular. It got him up and running and he was flying again. It made a difference and helped him to get back into it. His contract is up in June so we know he can talk to foreign clubs in January. We’ve been speaking to him. We are happy with him and we would like to keep him here.” (12/12/09) Sylvian Distin believes that goal scoring machine King Louis of Goodison can make the French Squad for next years World Cup Finals in South Africa. The French have omitted Louis form their play off squaaaaaad with the Republic this weekend, but Sylvian thinks that if King Louis keeps himself fit that he will be a given for next years Finals. Sylvian says: "It's not about how well Louis is playing, because of course he has the quality. It's just about him keeping fit, that has what has kept him out of the national team in the past. "He definitely has the quality, and he has played a lot of games which shows he is getting over the injury problems. If he can stay fit, he should get another chance for France." (13/11/09)
Moyesy is full of praise for Louie after he has stayed injury free and scored 7 times this season to be Everton's leading scorer. Moyesy says: “There are times Louis does things with the ball that are near-genius. He can do incredible things and when he does you realise how difficult it was for him when he was injured so often. He would say himself that there were occasions when he was perhaps not in the strongest frame of mind. But now he is far stronger, physically and mentally, and he has proved that we were right to take a chance on him. We knew when we signed Louis that we were taking a risk but the longer he has been with us the more he has turned into the player we all know he can be. His attitude has been fantastic.” (12/10/09) King Louis nearly quit the game in his manure days when he felt he was cursed with his injuries. The player who scored the fastest goal in FA Cup history back in May is now banging them in for fun, and all Blues are made up that this King still has a long time to reign. Eh fuggin great that punch line, made up with that, King, reign gerrit !! King Louis says: "I can laugh now when I look back at the problems I had, but it’s true to say I was a depressive. I was aware there was unease among my team-mates and the United fans every time I made a comeback. They were worried I would have a relapse, and I was even more concerned than they were. But I have made a miraculous recovery. The fact that I’m still out there on the pitch after 23 injuries in four years proves I’m mentally strong. My goals are now the most important thing to me, and I’m just happy to be able to train like the other players and feel the same way as they do." (08/10/09) After his 2 goals in Europe last night, Moyesy has given Louie the best compliment. Moyesy says: "Louis Saha has always scored lots of types of goals and he is undoubtedly a great talent. When you see him now I see one of the top players I have ever worked with. If we can keep him fit and play him at his top level he is a really good player." Watch out the Premiership as King Louis is raring to go this season. After constant Summers of fighting injury, the French hit man has had an injury free pre season and has been banging in the goals to boot. He feels in tip top form, so don't bet against him banging one in against The Arse on Saturday. COYB FTRS King Louis says: " This is the best I’ve felt in years. It is a long time since I felt this good. The last full pre-season I had was three years ago with Manchester United, so hopefully both myself and the team will be able to reap the benefits. The last few weeks have been very good for me. I feel ready to go now and know I can cope with the intensity of games. I expected a tough pre-season and that is exactly what it's been. But I got through it and I'm really happy about that. I needed to get through it and it has also been nice to get a few goals, as that is what a striker needs to do." (12/08/09) Now that Segundo Castillo has left, Louie has given up the famous Everton number 9 shirt for his personal favourite number 8. Louie says: "I have always favoured the No8 jersey throughout my career, but for one reason or another, it has never been available. When I arrived at Everton last year I wanted to take it, but that wasn’t possible. This season it will be available and because I was born on the eighth day of the eighth month, it is a number I can relate to. I enjoyed wearing the famous No9 shirt and it was a great honour to be handed it when I joined the club. I am aware of the huge tradition associated with the shirt and the great players that have played in it, but my personal preference is to have the No8." (01/08/09) Louis Saha like us all is excited at the prospect of all our front men being fit for the start of the season, and he hopes he can strike up a decent partnership again with The Yak. With Jo also set to rejoin the ranks, one thing that can't be labeled at the Blues this season is a lack of fire power. Bring on The Arse, thirty seven days and counting. Louis says: "I think his (Yak's) strength and coolness in front of goal is perfect as a partner for any striker. I can't wait to have the Yak back. Jo will be a very good signing if it happens. He looked good last season." (09/07/09) |
