Everton legend Alex Parker has died today after a heart attack aged 74. Alex was a skilful right back, who played 220 games for Everton in the 50's and 60's scoring 5 goals. He was part of the great Everton team, which won the 1962-63 Championship. Alex won 15 Scottish caps. After leaving Everton, he joined Southport and later became a pub manager in Runcorn before moving back to Scotland where he continued in the pub trade in Gretna. In 2008 Alex along with his wife Irene, attended the ICON dinner for his great friend Alex Young. In June last year he was seriously ill and had a leg amputated. A great player and also a though gentleman. Condolences to Irene and all of Alex's family and friends from all at Blue Kipper. (07/01/10) |

Jimmy
Duvall,
68. My dad was a true believer and supporter of his beloved blues his
whole life, he died a happy man peacefully in his sleep after listening
to the win against AEK on 3rd December. In the 80’s he opened his doors
to young everton apprentices and school boys for years and we had some
of the greats lodge with us over the years. A special thank you to Graeme
Sharpe, Pat Heard and John Thomas who attended the funeral. I miss you
dad xxx Anton. (26/12/09) |

Our Dad,
Peter Stoneley, was in a road accident in Florence, Italy last Tuesday.
He tragically passed away on Thursday 18th June, aged 50. He was the greatest
Evertonian we have ever known. He could tell you the scores, goal scorers
and transfer fees of every game and every player who has ever worn the
Royal Blue Jersey. Any landmark moments that happened in our lives, our
Dad would always reference it by saying 'that was the day Everton beat
such and such...', he used to drive our Mum insane! |

Lily Cooney all but lived for the blues and we are immensely proud that in her 90th year she made it to Wembley twice after undergoing a major operation for cancer in 2007. She'd bought her season ticket and was looking forward to cheering the lads on again but sadly passed away peacefully on the evening of 13th June 2009. We loved her so much and were so proud of her devotion and determination - to say we'll miss her is an understatement, as we're sure all her friends in the Main Stand will too. Love and miss you, mum - Your royal blue family, heartbroken husband John, sons Brian and Kevin, daughters Sheila, Kathleen, Patricia, sons/daughters in laws and grandchildren xxx |

My Uncle Jack passed away recently, 83 yrs young; he and my dad were the ones who taught me the true faith. He’s pictured here on the day of the 95 final. He saw us go down and come back up again and had stories galore from the last 70 odd years of following the original team on Merseyside. Look over us on the 30th U Jack! John Kelly. (16/05/09) |

I have just recently lost a friend on the 25th of April 2009. His name was Johnathan Mcgrath. I am 16 and he was 16. He sadly passed away playing Football with his best friend. He had an asthmatic attack and his heart gave in. I and everyone else that knew him are devastated as well as his family who we all have much sympathy for. John was a nice lad always smiling and had a real love for the only club in his life, Everton Football Club. He was a dedicated Everton fan all his life, BLUE through and through. He was so dedicated even if he had five minutes in a lesson he would be straight on blue kipper looking for anything about his beloved team. He also was one of those fans who was queueing up since 4 o clock in the morning just to secure his wembley FA Cup semi-final ticket. He always had a smile on his face no matter what. We would like to show our appreication to family and close freinds on behalf of me and a few other people who knew John for what he is. On the other hand he will have the best seat of them all to watch the final with the best Dixie Dean, Alan Ball, and Brian Labone. Thanks Steven Teare. (27/04/09) |

Paul was killed along with 15 others in the North sea helicopter crash of 1st April 2009. Paul was a lifelong Evertonian through his Merseyside roots and grew up in Kent and Sussex and later lived and worked in London. A fanatical Blue, he quit London to follow his dream to fly helicopters and continued to spread the word of the blues in Aberdeen and on the oil rigs of the North sea. He died doing something he loved and will be so sorely missed by family and friends. Rest in peace Paul. Charlie Isaac. (03/04/09) |
