In loving
memory of my dad Evan Roberts who passed away peacefully on Monday 26/10/08
aged 74, A life long blue who instilled that passion and spirit of what
it means to be a Blue into me. Many happy times and many sad times and
lots of memory's to cherish, I can still remember as a young boy hanging
onto your every word as you described what it was like at the 1966 cup
final when we came back from 2 down to win the cup and the great day we
all had at the home coming. The time we stood in the rain for hours at
the front of the old goodison road enclosure on the stool you made the
night before to enable me to see over that giant front wall as we tonked
Chelsea 5-2 on the way to the title in 1970. The list is endless. |

The funeral will take place at 10.45am on Friday 17th October 2008 at St Luke's Church, Goodison Road, followed by a service at Thornton Crematorium. Sadly Rory died of cancer 11th October 2008. The Blue Kipper lads knew Rory as a kid in Aintree. He was a good player and was often seen skipping down the wing in Harrow Drive park until Everton came calling. He went home and away to watch Everton. He told us at the presentation Night in May that he thought he was over the worst. What a cruel blow this is. A great character. Deepest sympathy to his family.
A great story about Rory is this written by Steve Battle some years ago at an 84/85 Reunion Do. "There was a lull in proceedings which gave one of the lads “Rory” the opportunity to perform his party piece. His “And We Love Our Everton” song (to the tune of Alloute) was sung with great gusto by everyone. Sporting a Blue wig, oversize fake microphone and despite the best efforts of the security team, he conducted the crowd through verse after verse, singing the praises of the squad from Neville to Sheeds. It was one of the highlights of the night and saw even the “stuffed shirts” joining in, it was that infectious." |

Ted Prescott,
born 15/07/30 died suddenly at home 25/08/08. Started watching EFC from
the late 30's - was a member of the Alex Young Suite with true blue daughter
Val and had many friends throughout Goodison Park. Funeral was at SFX
Church and Ted left to the sound of Z Cars playing on the church organ.
On a couple of occassions over the past two seasons Sausage had the pleasure
of Ted's company in the Alex Young Suite, sharing wonderful EFC memories
and astute pre-match predictions. Ted's sharp wit and stories of his Blue
history will be sadly missed. (01/10/08) |

On 17 July Michael Chaderton aka "Chaddo" a massive Evertonian was killed in a car crash along with his best mate and fellow blue Sam Dunne. Both lads were 23. A devoted father to Jamiee-Leigh, Michael will never be forgotten by his partner and his family and friends who miss him so much. Michael loved Everton as much as he loved life. I would like
to highlight the passing of a Grand Old Lady who originated From Everton
and who attended The Gwladys Primary Back in The 1920's. Her Name is Norah
Reinwart (1920 - 12 July 2008). Not sure of her maiden name But she married
Franz Reinwart a German POW. Young Nora (13 at the time) laid claim that
she witnessed the dashing W. R. Dean parading the famous old pot from
an open topped bus round the streets of Everton & Walton Back in 1933. |

We know the
bluekipper lads have a great rapport with the Evans family, so I was wondering
if you could put a picture of one of our family members on the site, Angie
Evans, the wife of Dave Evans who you guys know well, sadly Angie was
taken from us early this year, she was a wonderful aunt and a dear friend,
Angie was a true blue and loved Davey Moyes. She leaves behind two beautiful
daughters, Lauren 11 and Rachel 16. She is dearly missed and will never
be forgotten. |
