Jogger's
Snapshots is for all you photogenic Evertonians to show the world how
fantastic you looked when you wore a scarf around your wrist all those
years ago. (Last week in some cases). Or send a photo of you in Everton
Blue on your travels around the world. So send in your photo's of you
and your mates decked out in those silly bobble hats at Wembley, or
hobnobbing with the players, or better still, send a photo of your mate
looking a right Dick, and Jogger will gladly put it on this page.

On Tour - Chicago

I
hope you can post some pics I took of my kids in Chicago when
the Blues visited during the summer. John Michael 12 and Jack
Everton 11 should be coming over to Goodison in March to see their
first match in England. We traveled from Virginia to Illinois
and also to Colorado and had a great time. Moyesy and the team
were very nice to the boys, giving their time and signatures and
pics. Keep up the great site and COYB!!! John Flanagan.

Supporters Club Australia - Queensland Family Day Out

|
|

ESCA
held its first get together
in Queensland on the 7th February at Burleigh Football Club
on the Gold Coast. Coming only days after beating the darkside
everyone was in a tremendous and joyful mood and ready for a
fun afternoon. With the weather at a beautiful 32 degrees it
was amazing to see over 100 Evertonians turn up for the days
events - cold beer, cold beer and a little more cold beer. Seeing
over 20 young blues was also superb and even better was how
well all the kids got on together - not a single arguement or
carry on all day and night - Born Blue - we are a big extended
family.
As we entered the club at 1-30 the History of Everton was playing
with Everton flags and banners everywhere with an array of Blue,
white and some pink shirts. The mood was set and it was great
not to get ripped off for a decent beer - Corona's at less 2
pound.
As the day went on more and more Blues turned up - from the
North of Brisbane, Gold Coast with some die hards even making
the trip from Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne - the equivalent
to traveling to the south of Spain for a beer. The kids went
outside and started their own mini games - Cahill, Arteta shirts
were the flavour of the day with the exception of young Alfie
and James who crawled and gingerly tried to walk everywhere
there was a ball. "how good is this I thought", we
"truly are an extended family and everyone proud to be
Born Blue - we are indeed chosen".
The day went on with a BBQ and then the photo shoot which in
turn started the "It's a Grand Old Team to play for"
etc etc - we all know the rest.
The plan was to go on from our new found home of the Blues in
Queensland - a huge thanks to Burleigh Football Club and Tony
/ Lee for organising the event - to a nearby surf club or where
ever to watch the Bolton match. For those who know my wife,
a good judge of character, had a word in my ear and said that
"no-one would make it to 1am to see the kick-off. Apparently
she was right?
The day was a huge success to say the least. Blues came from
near and far and it was like a family get together. We sang,
we laughed and we had some deep and unmeaning discussions on
all aspects about Everton. To see so many blues together so
far away from home and with an age group from 1 to 70+ (Harry,
you never did reveal your age but if you know Dave Hickson you
must be close to this without any disrespect) was superb. It
is great to be an Evertonian and if we each drank 10 Corona"s
less we would have seen the match live?
ESCA is growing
in numbers and the more that join the more social get together's
like this we can have. 100+ so far away has thrown down the
gauntlet to the other States - we will do 150 next time in Queensland
due to apologies from many due to other commitments. Get on
the forum, get in touch and let's make this the biggest supporter's
club outside of the UK.

Holetown
Barbados

Recently
had a break to celebrate the wife's 50th in Barbados. This is
The Surfside Beach Bar in Holetown. With these dishes it can
get any game in the world. Watched the blues there while away
and donated a flag. It was on display for the Man U match. It
was also paraded around the the bar after the glorious cup win.
Anyone out there in the future see the gaffer and make sure
it is on display when we are on the box. Love the website boys
keep up the good work. Steve Foulkes

Ready To Travel
With The Evertonian Passport Cover
My
son Ed, ready to travel. It was a lot more relaxing than usual
because Everton were on radio updates and NOT on tv.
Tension was the same though.
Cheers.

Last Train From
London
Me
‘arl fella (Pops) and Mike (on the left) met Moyesy the Messiah
on the Train coming back from London. Obviously they had some
pre-derby banter and reminded the big man that we’ve never been
beaten at Anfield in the cup. It goes without saying that he
was a top bloke.
Keep
up the good work…
Kirko,
Pops and Mike. (12/02/09)
