(10/05/03) Everton4ever EVERTON 6th in the league at the end of the season and still Everton fans aren't happy. moyes has done a brilliant job, same average players as last season but wat a difference a good manager makes, i call 4 all Evertonians lets get behind our team next year and with a few good summer signing's another top six finish. once a blue always a blue. duncthebluenose. last
August, being an old hand at this stuff, I decided to ambush my Pinkie
brothers...that is, actual beknighted members of my family who actually
follow.....THEM....... Everton hadn't finished ahead of the unwashed red
horde since young Rooney was a babie, so I made the the bet ...one hundred
yankee dollars and a case of Guinness, that this would be the year that
Everton would assume their natural position and finish atop the pinks.......imagine
the fun since The lap of honour !!! Personally, I think it is shameful that Everton will not allow Man U to parade the league trophy to their fans (and ours) before the game on Sunday. The over-riding reason given is one of security. This is crap. As true blue-blooded Evertonians, we should get in the ground at 2.15 and to a man, stand and applaud the new League Champions before whooping the arses off them in the game that follows. This is tradition and it is shameful that it won't happen. Can you imagine the effect it would have on the Everton team, it would get their adrenalin going no end. It is
a great pity that this tradition is being halted because of the surge
of domestic racism that is running rife throughout the game. Remember,
that's what it is, a game and we should show the viewing public that we
are fair and appreciate good football at Everton and welcome them as champions
before our match. Disappointed Tom Bowman from Birkdale.
(10/05/03) MBE EVERTON POWER GAME: WHAT NOW? I've just read his article on the Board situation, and although I don't agree at all with his pseudo-political rants, the article was one of the most informed and intelligent discourses on this subject I've heard in a long time, well done. Better than Len Capling any day. If the local press had more subjective coverage like this instead of the regular two page spread in the Daily Post for the Mancs, we'd all be happy. Keep it up. Rich. Welsh Blues. (06/05/03) Blue Kipper Presentation Night Thanks

(06/05/03) Kings Dock Whatever
piece you read and whichever side of the fence you sit, let's face it,
in your heart of hearts you knew that the whole King's
Dock palaver would go belly up eventually. How do I know that? Because
the people residing over the negotiations were the same crew that brought
us the '95 Cup Final Ticket fiasco and the NTL "Spend it Before You've
Got it" malarkey. Minus Mr Johnson of course. While I'm certain that
the current Board (obvious exception not
included!) have the best interests of the club at heart, they simply have
not got a clue when it comes to real business. You've only got to have
the (mis)fortune of experiencing all aspects of Everton's corporate hospitality
(not just the seriously dated surroundings!) to realise how much we have
to learn from infinitely smaller clubs like Blackburn, Chelsea and Tranmere.
Even Walthamstow Dogs. I jest you not. Unless we install some serious
business acumen quickly, the on pitch pedestal built by Davie Moyes will
end up as mere testimony to yet another Goodison might have been...
Dave
Randles. (06/05/03) Presentation Night Just to let you fellas no that we had fukin great nite out at the Silvestrian although we expected Rooney & Moyes's to be there we weren't disappointed great bit of sing from the milk tray lad you can tell you've all worked hard for that nite out. (06/05/03) Blues Back in Business Hi all. i would just like to comment on how good this site is. i would like to thank the dedicated people. it is excellent. the blues are back in business, especially with moyes and Wayne "Saviour" Rooney. i would like to congratulate the blues on a absolutely terrific season. keep it up next year. you've been a joy to watch. as for our wayne, i went to his school and watched him play on the tennisies, i even played with him and even then he was formidable in every way and now words can't describe how brilliant he is. i wish him every success. once a blue always a blue. Mark Humphreys, 16. (06/05/03) Duncan's Trial So as expected, The Video Panel are going to look at the Ferguson/Gudjonsson incident from the Villa match, which means that the Big Fella will take the knock again and probably miss the openers of next season. The incident itself was the culmination of a series of 'upper body fouls' by the poisoned dwarf from the moment that Ferguson arrived on as a sub. Obviously under instructions from Taylor In their
deliberations, perhaps the panel should ask themselves these questions
as well: I Get A Fiver hi I'm george i am 8 years old and a lifelong evertonian I'm from stafford. i love the carisbrook pub and dave the landlord he gives me fivers all the time so please give him a special something for making a lovely pub. i got my first season this year from a man behind me in the park end i love rooney and moyes and I'm going to join the junior blues club very soon oh and i hate the red shit yours sincerely.george holland. (06/05/03) Big Dunc Sorry but the hero worship of the Jocko braindead has to stop. He wouldn't be picked on if he didn't bring it on himself in the first place. Moyes should have f*** him off after the Bolton game last year. After his latest disgrace he should be banned from football altogether let alone ever wear the sacred blue colours again. Let's get real. SS. (06/05/03)
You may
have an alleged picture of him,
but I have pushed past him in the Alex Young suite at the Aston Villa
and Newcastle games. God only knows how he got to the Villa game so fast
after the Arse were playing at Notlob, I can only assume he didnt even
go to that game. Also overheard him saying to someone not to be suprised
if he is back here next season! Come on... If that
was a foul by dunk
what was that effort by dublin on stubbs, what annoys me is i have seen
a lot of footy over the weekend live [the blues] live on tele full games
,and highlight on itv 2 mins the everton game, after game comments made
on dunc [singled out again ] phot angle replay freeze photo total bias, its
the ex players over 40 of them from one club which dictate who does and
who dosent get shown on the replays ,and the bias red comentators to dont
help, the should be only one player from each club Wayne Rooney - Development of Goodison Park Now that the Kings Dock project is finally put to rest, obviously the Board will be exploring alternative strategies. Pending the eventual , inevitable, move away from Goodison, there is still a need to look carefully at improvements that can be made to our existing ground. Widening the pitch again, next season, may give us extra attacking options down the flanks if Moyesey either buys in "width" or looks again at our existing options from our reserve teams. However, even before the end of the season, there is room for improvement. In particular, I would implore that the ball boys are provided with "spitoons", and be encouraged to be on the alert for any player (of either side) showing any signs of wanting to ventalate their systems of muccous, and to jump into action to offer a rescepticle, thus to avoid the immense distress that might be caused to fans of both teams in witnessing such a disgusting, and unusual, event. After
all, we don't want our local Constabulary to be burdened with even more
paperwork in dealing with (perfectly reasonable!) complaints about such
issues. Andy Mac.
(30/04/03) Kings Dock Now that
its all fell through, there is only one option. Goodison Park. Its not
just the stadium I love but I think that EFC are based in Walton. These
nobs spouting Knowsley and Speke are talkin out of their Welsh arses.
After the RS move into their new shed, we can even play at our old ground
for a couple of years, while they build a tunnel under Walton Lane and
then throw a new Goodison stadium on top, thereby freeing up a bit of
room. If it was adjoined to the lake in stanogs and Bill squints his eyes
a bit, he might even think his kings dock dream has come true! Why does
no one ever take me seriously? Kids? Don't You Luv em? Out of the mouths of babes and children... I'm a lifelong blue, and I took my lad to the home game against Middlesboro 2 seasons ago which we won 2-0. He was 7 at the time, it was his first time at Goodison and he absolutely loved it. Unfortunately, he also wanted to see a Man Utd. game and I reluctantly took him to Old Trafford to see them play Leicester a few weeks later. After half an hour or so, he turned to me and asked me very earnestly "Dad, How come they don't sing here?" Couldn't get the smile off my face for a month. Dave Quay. (30/04/03) |
