Derby Tickets

After me and one of my mates george have been home and away everywhere so far this season when it comes to merseyside derby tickets we have had to apply through the club because the supporters club we are in have not given two tickets but when it comes to the rest of the supporters clubs they have been given a minimum of one each and are disgusted with this so we have desided to get one through the club but if dont get one we will feel betrayed! Yours sincerly michael. (05/12/02)

Poll

Who suggested the poll asking for either Joey Yobo or the Kings Dock? It may be just a coincidence but it seems to me that the board have read this site looked at the results and decided to go with them.

WHO EVER IT WAS DESERVES TO BE SHOT!!! Jon Rymer, Crosby. (05/12/02)

Kings Dock & More

Can I nail a modern urban myth. 85% of supporters did not vote infavour of a move to a new ground. Firstly, I attended the game when Agent Johnson issued supporters with voting forms about the move to a proposed new stadium. I was in the Family Enclosure with my young son. Neither of us received a bollot form becasue when we arrived there were none left. Thus, we did not vote. If i had've voted I would have voted against. that would not necessarily be my vote today. My father and brother who were inthe Bullens did not receive a voting form.

Secondly, some people that day voted more than once. This was well known and commented at the time.
Thirdly, the voting was, as far as I recall, not subject to independent scrutiny.
Fourthly, how was the figure 85% reached. 85% of what. Total votes cast, valid returned, forms handed out. Or what. I think the figures were afigment of someone's imagination. Am I alone in this.

I would now vote in favour of a new stadium. This is not because I do not know my own mind but becasue as i have received new information I have made a more informed decision.
Incidently, it now seems clear that the choice for England's new goalkeeper has been made and it is not te goalie who went over 10 hours without letting in a goal or more experienced. Strange. Also wonder who is the necxt to cop the blame the Holier than Thou. Cheers, James in Sydney. (04/12/02)

Tuesday's Echo

Reading the articles tonight in the echo on the Kings dock move, i came across a bit that said it was a hot topic on the bluekipper web site. The e-mail they used was the one i had send in on the kings dock debate! MARTIN, BROADGREEN. (04/12/02)

I Bet Yer Don't

I was recently outraged while at the everton v west brom game. Whilst sitting in the top balcony i wanted to put a bet on the mighty
blues! But there were no Ladbrooks betting stations open, it only needs one or two people to man these stations, i wouldnt mind doing it if they asked me. So i confronted a steward who told me to go down and place a bet in the main stand. I walked down about 200 stairs and when i got there i was told to basically go away in a polite manner. Then I had to climb again with a very red face. Outside the betting stations there was a big gathering of supporters who where willing to put revenue into the club by placing bets. Why wasnt any thing done. Thanks for your time Christopher Bamber Booth. (04/12/02)

Kings Dock - Just Do It

kings dock has been the light at the end of the tunnel since bluey kenwright took charge.goodison will always be a fantastic memory but we need to show that everton are a team and club of the future not yet another sleeping giant. all the bad press is obviously from red shites working for there own ends.to coin a phrase from nike JUST DO IT lesjackson. (04/12/02)

Gary Speed

After reading an article re this weekends clash againt Newcastle I see Gary Mr Shithouse Speed had to sign some sort of condiential clause when he fuked of to da tune... any ideas what he got up too?? me mate rekons he was involved in a threesome with Dunford and Judas?? TBB. (04/12/02)

Jorg Albertz

I see that former Rangers midfielder Jorg Albertz is leaving on a free transfer in January. We've been linked with this guy in the past (especially when Walter was in charge), and he would seem a sensible aquisition to keep bolstering that midfield. The guy can certainly crack a freekick and although litie is playing out of his skin Im sure backup would be good to have with Graveson, I think they could compliment each other well.

Would love to have your opinion, the website is top, my dad and myself logon virtually hourly to check to see if theres any new content. Keep up the good work. Phil Robinson. (04/12/02)

Kings Dock Comment

I wish to complement you on such a fine passionate and throughoutresponse to such a critical situation.
I take my hat off to the board for securing Joey Yobo, but as you so rightly say the whole kings dock project is surrounded in mystery.
I ask all the board to bury differences and public pride and sound bites and put together a package that will once and for all see the best team in the world playing in the finest stadium in the world. PLEASE DO NOT LET THIS OPPORTUNITY SLIP AWAY.
Chris (40 years a proud supporter). (01/12/02)

Kings Dock Comment

Can't agree more with you piece today and Radio Merseyside have just reported the project will go ahead with or without Everton F C albeit on a modified basis - presumably without the £30m. If this happens the only big loser will be us.

Everton are still denying there is any change in the situation but this just cannot be the case. The project cannot stand still anymore and we all know if they had arranged finance via the fans, particularly starting two/three years ago the money would not have been a problem.

I have felt badly let down by the club and there will be no forgiveness if we lose this opportunity because of EFC Board members own narrow interests and ulterior motives. Have emailed the club also. John Armitage. (01/12/02)

Fan Support

Just a quick word of support. I'm an overseas Blue and fully support the KD project. As a fan of over 40 years I'd happily put some money into a debenture issue or similar method for garnering the cash. Bill may not want to dilute his power base with a share issue but it doesn't have to be that way. I'm up to my eyes in debt but I'd take on more to help the team into KD. As an overseas fan it would help give me, as I'm sure it would others, a greater sense of belonging.

Keep up the good work on the site. John Quirk. Visakhaputnam. (01/12/02)

Kings Dock Comment

I completely agree , they can have a grand of my money this afternoon! The way that Moyes is going we will need a bigger ground than 55000. One thing we cannot afford to do is inhibit Moyes ambition, the agreement for Yobo and probably ‘The Duke’ in the next few weeks will be a start, but he will need more cash to finish the job off.

Incidentally he seems to spend wisely, unlike some of the last few managers. Can you imagine if we pulled out of the project and then qualified for the Champions League next year. Anyway it looks as though we are going to be playing in front of full houses for the rest of the year which should generate much needed extra revenue.

So there it is to the Kings Dock and if we have to help the club to get there the so be it. Nick John. (01/12/02)

The roar of the crowd

I wrote into you after the opening match with Spurs at Goodison to mention the lack of atmosphere at GP. My main point being that if the crowd was on form, singing and cheering the blue boys on, we could give all the players a lift and scare the shit out of the opposition. I'm pleased to say that our performances on the pitch have inspired the crowd and we are now having near sell outs for every home game and even at away matches the travelling support has been fantastic.

You can see from our league position that the team has been playing out of its skin and the crowd has played a huge part in that. While I hope that we maintain our elevated position at the top half of the league it is only going to take a few injuries to leave us with a few questions to answer.

This is a plea to all loyal Evertonians to make sure that we keep the atmosphere going at GP even when we have an bad day at the office and stay off the backs of the players when they are having and off day. A player will respond much better if we continue cheering their name rather than slagging them off when they make a mistake. This has been proven this season by Super Kevs form.

Lets all make sure that we sing our hearts out for the boys and come May 2003 we will be thinking of the Champions league and then we can all go round Europe and help to spread the gospel according to Moyes

Remember Blues...YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!! Blueforever, better dead than red. James. (01/12/02)

Kings Dock Comment

Your letter to the Everton board re the King's Dock says it all. I myself was initially against any move from my beloved Goodison Park, only because I did not trust Peter Johnson and his cronies. However the King's Dock project has from the first announcements excited my enthusiasm, and with reluctance convinced me to relinquish my ties with Goodison. I have been following Everton since the late fifties and my son and daughter are now continuing my families support which began with my father
in the thirties. I have only found your website this week and I congratulate you on an excellent site. Life as an Evertonian at present has lifted fifteen years of mainly gloom and despondency. Keep up the good work, Regards Graham Sullivan. (30/11/02)

Where's Me Shirt?

As everyone seems to already know the Everton Home Top is basically gonna be out of date come May but does this apply to the Away strip also????? I (probably along with many other blues) was looking to buy the Home strip as a christmas present for one of the special people in my life. However it doesn't really seem to be worth it now, especially as there is no extra large tops left in the whole world anyway!!! As a consolation present i was looking to get the away strip instead but if that is gonna be classed as last years after May then again it seems to be a bit of a poo pressie. If anyone can help me out, it would be much appreciated!!!!

Where can You get an XL Everton Shirt?

Could somebody please tell me where I can get an XL home shirt.I made the mistake of promissing my son one for Xmas. Who in the merchandising dept.made the wonderful decision not to stock any more this of all seasons?
Frustrated Blue of Chalfont St Peter, Bucks. (26/11/02) See below.

Where can You get an XL Everton Shirt?

I am just writing to ask if you have experienced, or have had any feedback from people, about the difficulties in getting an XL Everton Home top for this season?

I spoke with the club today who have told me that they are out of stock and they WILL NOT be getting any more in…period! Apparently, because the top is only valid until May (like I didn’t know that!), they will not be re-ordering ANY XL home tops as they feel it is not worth it. !!!!!!!!!!!!! I am absolutely furious about this!!

I have supported Everton for years and years, and I really, really wanted to buy the top this season because it is the 100th season top flight (I wanted one with the Dixie 100 year badge). Now I will have to settle on one that doesn’t fit me XXL (which are “out of stock but should be in soon”), or anything below a Medium (please!!).

What is going on at the club that they have run out of tops before December, and won’t be bothering to get any more in!!! What about Christmas for christ’s sake!!!

I thought that this had been resolved by the club following last seasons insistence on closing the Megastore at Christmas, however, the situation appears to be getting worse!

I wondered if it would be possible for Blue Kipper, Toffeeweb and myself (as a lifelong fan) to put some pressure on here, as I feel that this is mis-management at it’s very worst. The club is losing out on, who knows, tens of thousands of pounds of revenue here, and no-one seems to care!! I am more disappointed that the club is losing money, than the fact that I won’t be able to buy a top, although I am gutted about that because the 100th top flight season means a lot to me. It’s not MY fault I’m XL (well…erm, that last pie didn’t help!)

I hope you don’t mind, but I have copied this in to toffeeweb and the official Everton email address to try and stimulate some kind of reaction.

As a last word, can I plead with anyone out there who has an XL home top, short sleeves, with the 100 year Dixie badge, to please offer it to me for sale…hell, if the club don’t want my money, then someone else can make a few quid off me then!!

A proud, but disgruntled, blue. Regards. Nathon Jones. (26/11/02)

Show us Yer Tatts

I'm studying in Leicester at the moment and last year I was getting on the bus with two mates and the driver had his arm resting on the bit where you put the money, and he had a well nice Everton tattoo on his arm. I said, quite stupidly because it was obvious that it was, "Are you an Everton fan?" and he said he was and then I told him I was too and he let me on the bus for free!! My Geordie mate was behind me in the queue and he said in his broad Geordie accent "So am I" but the bus driver was having none of it and made him pay. Me and the driver then talked for the whole journey about Everton and how things could only get better, bearing in mind it was two days after that shocking 3-0 defeat at Boro in the FA Cup. And, god, they certainly got better!! The next day Walter went, the day after that Moysey came and now just look where we are!! Thank you Moyesy and the lads for putting a smile on all the Evertonians faces again, and hopefully wiping the smile off the redshites' faces when they get battered by Man Utd next week, and we beat Newcastle to go a point ahead of them!! May the smiles continue forever. Blue Sue. (26/11/02)

Worry Warts

The threat of loosing Moyes The threat of loosing Rooney The fear of Loosing the Kings dock project it goes on for fucks sake leave the people who are paid to worry do the job We have in Moyes the best manager Yobo the best center back Richard Wright goalkeeper on the way to be the answer for Everton and England maybe The recent going on we do not trust anything or anyone I have been a Evertonian for forty year seen the good the bad and the awful but I believe the best is on the way again even if it falls through I will still be a blue tomorrow we have to trust blue bill his heart is for the people who have been Evertonians like him all their lives. John Lea. (26/11/02)

God is an Evertonian

This is a fucking nice feeling, groundhogday on a Saturday, Everton win redshite lose. 3 points off the top . I was listening 2 the phone in after the match and the shite are the usual whinging wots goin on wots goin on and are completely shiting themselves about December 22 , god is an Evertonian, his disciples are alive and well and playing at Goodison park and he's laughing his rocks off at the shite's misfortune. Do the Toon and go 2nd. Praise be the lord of all blue boys AMEN!.

Goodison re-developmnet Arrrrgh

As rumors go lads I have been privy to an alarming bit of news.
Which in fact comes from a source close to the Bibby, shipping family. As for why they are involved I have no idea. But at the latest board meeting it was over heard that an approach was made sounding, out local companies as to there, willingness to invest in Everton FC. It is quite apparent things are no well with the boards as regards, the Kings Dock. Carter I believe is more in favour of the Liverpool approach of first and foremost a football Stadium as the core business is football. So hence the possibility of Liverpool forging ahead with their, ground building. Then I believe we will have the foot print for Goodison enlarged then demolished to build a single purpose stadium at the old Goodison site. So where do we play our football whilst the ground is flattened. The option which is left is obvious is Anfield. It actually stopped me eating at the time I completely lost my appetite. But after some consideration if we want to own our Stadium, I see no other way. It also makes, financial sense. So after some thought I agree with the column about news being leaked as spin. But I wonder if this is just the start of the options. As it was put to me, Kenwright, & Carter intend to block the plan. Go back to the fans for a vote and give them options as to how they want to progress. The afore mentioned being there real goal. Fact or fiction I believe it is a viable option after it is digested. What uproar to come with the media over this. I say what ever it takes, that or Kenwrights, head. Regards Bob McDonald. (26/11/02)

Blue Roon

Don't know whether anyone else has suggested this, but surely we could come up with some good words for a version of Blue Moon - entitled Blue Roon... Mart, London. (26/11/02)

Joey's Shirt 1

In case you're still wondering who got Yobo's shirt at Blackburn away, it was some kids from St Edmund Arrowsmith RC High School in Whiston. What happenend was, when Yobo threw the shirt into the crowd 2 of the kids were fighting for it, and were still fighting for it on Monday at school!! So one of the teachers confiscated it and called Everton about it. The People at EFC asked for it back. When it was sent back, Graeme Sharp then went back to the school and gave all the kids some freebies from the shop (shirts, souvenirs etc.) I only know this cos me arl fella is the head of Technology there and he told me about it.
Cheers. Dan Spendlove

Joey's Shirt 2

Our kids school went to the game and there was a scramble amongst the kids when he chucked the shirt in. They've given it to the teacher and it's getting raffled off soon. All the best. Andy. (22/11/02)

Joey's Shirt 3

I aint got the shirt from the blackburn match but i got the one from the leeds away game! its massive and my dad fell when he dived
for it, but it was worth it, its an XL by the way and its massive. Many thanx boys and a great web-site! Raff. (22/11/02)

Joey's Shirt 4

I haven't got it I went to the match with my old secondary school (St Edmund Arrowsmith, Whiston). Yobo threw it into our group. The kids were fighting over so a teacher confiscated it. Parents have contacted the school claiming that their kid got the shirt first so it has been sent back to Everton. Great site by the way, keep it up. True_Blue1878. (22/11/02)
