Willy Wonka

As a season ticket holder and a Kirkby resident I am at a loss to why the move has been rejected.

In this current climate anyone offering the government opportunity to create 3000 permanent jobs, 1500 part time jobs & god knows how many jobs to build this development they should be biting there hand off instead they come out with a piss poor excuse that it effects other areas. Personally I don’t care about other areas as I am a Kirkby lad born and bred & this government has never given us a penny of investment oh sorry they built us a new sports centre which to be honest is a poor effort to say the least oh & a clock that looks like something out of Willy Wonka's chocolate factory. The investment in the town would have improved the area ten fold & the initiatives for the local schools would have been excellent now the town is going to stay in the time warp it has been in for the last 20 years or so. I am interested in what Tesco's are now going to do with the properties & land they bought to build the new stadium/development on will it stay derelict for the next 10 years it wouldn’t surprise me one bit.

Now onto the blues where do we go from here? I think the ground move would have naturally attracted investors or current shareholders to put money into our club, it pains me to say but I can see another Leeds situation on our hands if we don’t get investment soon.

Moyes has done a marvellous job living of scraps of money when all the clubs around us spend millions of pounds in the transfer market we have managed to compete & fight for Europe year in year out, them times have gone just look at the other lot over the park they cannot compete either cos they haven't got a pot 2 piss in. Kenwright has done everything within his means to provide cash for players rumoured to even have remortgaged his house on numerous occasions but this cannot go on we need investment & we need it now, if someone can come in & buy Portsmouth & Notts County why the hell hasn’t it happened for us, Portsmouth's got one of the worst grounds in the Premiership with the lowest attendance so blaming the state of the ground on potential investors doesn’t wash for me.

Come on Blues lets appeal or lets move and look at another option I would have loved my beloved team to come to my home town but if its not 2 b its not 2 b

Blood Boil

It makes my blood boil how The Shite always (or appear) to get the backing of the city council.

In the 90’s when we had the rejection of a new stadium in Stanley Park, then Liverpool suprise suprise have plans passed Then the Kings Dock fiasco. Would the Shite have had the plans for their old training ground to be made into new residential homes rejected (I think not!)

Until now I have always been against the thought of sharing a ground with The Shite, but now can see no other way of going forward. We desperately need the extra income that comes with the prawn sandwich brigade (corporate.) At Goodison we have 12 corporate boxes.

Man Ure have 172 of which 8 are charged at £187k per season, the 8 boxes alone generate per season nearly as much revenue as a one full house at Goodison. I’m not daft enough to think that Everton at present would be able to charge £187k for one box per season, but we would be able to generate considerably more than at present. I also know that corporate business is what’s caused the game to no longer be the working man’s game, but if we don’t do something soon we will be fighting off relegation season after season again and I for one do not want to go back to those days.

Put Us Back 5 Years

I feel we have lost out on an opportunity to move the club forward Tesco will not fund a ground move now and that has put us back 5 years. I travel 91 miles every home game and go away as well. So every game to me is an away game it makes me sick to think you lot wouldn’t travel 4 miles down the road. So when we go belly up just remember we had a chance to make to future bright but some of you lot have put us back in the dark ages thanks. Peter Brewster (28/11/09)

We Have Got The Money

Just read the article, the thoughts of blue bill. He says that no one on the board can spend big to put us back on the map. This is total garbage, what about Lord Granchester and Robert Earl, both billionaires and won't put a penny in. They have the money and power to make us great again, if they don't get rid and take blue bill with ya. Brian Lea (28/11/09)
